The year I worked at Nordstrom

I am trying to complete my goal of 30 posts in 30 days and am running out of things to talk about, so it is only natural that the conversation would turn to underwear, right? It is what it is. Today I am going to impart my wealth of knowledge on bras. gentlemen, this post is not for you { not that any boys would actually read a silly blog with "kisses" in the title !} Let's start way back in 2006... It was December and I had just graduated with a degree in fashion, so I did what any self-respecting desperate 22 year old would do... I applied for a job at Nordstrom . (And no, it is not "Nordstroms" There is no "s" at the end, but I could care less if you call it Nordstroms or Nordy's. There are just a handful of people who care WAY too much about it's nomenclature and I'm pretty sure I met all of them during the year that I worked there. What I Wore Wednesday

I'm linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion fun. And because it's been a while I've never participated in WIWW, I have some catching up to do... First, here's what I wore this week: * I tried on my new "clip in bangs" - I don't love them, but they're a fun non-permanent change * The following pictures are from the last couple months and consist mostly of my visual packing list I create everytime I go on a trip. Yes, I am admittedly a little O.C.D. when it comes to organized packing, and I actually take photos of each planned ensemble and then decide which ones make the cut. I know it's silly, but it really makes packing a lot less stressful. Take our July trip to Alaska for example. I had to fit all of my wardrobe needs in one tiny carry-on so each piece had to do double duty... On our way to Alaska, we spent some time in California so I had to pack for very different climates. This is James Bradley Bing "Brad" My birth dad {I have his nose, chin, ears, and sometimes his sass.} see the resemblance? We travelled a lot when I was a baby... England, France, and Scotland I still have that beanie . I only have pictures with him from when I was very little because he was hit by a drunk driver and died when he was only 24 years old. I was 3. Tomorrow would have been his 50th Birthday. I think he would have had a crazy, fun party. Like hanging from chandeliers fun! I would have baked him 50 cupcakes... maybe I still will :) These are the things I remember about him... He was a lot of FUN! Everybody loved to be around him and he was the life of the party. Obviously he had a great sense of humor, as he let me go out in public like that! And now you can see how I earned the nickname "balooga buns!" 1984 I can only assume that he didn't like to wear shirts very much...
