Visitors Welcome

Our good friends from Point Loma (currently residing in Houston) Brenden and Carissa came to visit over the weekend. We are so happy we got to see them because they had an even crazier Summer than we did… quick recap: they moved back to the states from Canada and spent a month travelling around South America, then drove out to Houston for Carissa to start a PhD program at Rice just last week. Congratulations Dr. Carissa!!!

While they were here, we checked out the Alamo and river walk, did some shopping at Rim and La Cantera, ate bbq at Rudy’s, burritos at Free Bird, Mongolian bbq at Genghis Grill, and finally got our internet installed. (Sorry you had to be here for that 2 day ordeal!)  That's strike 1 for Time Warner Cable.
Maddie Bear found a new friend!

Rudy's BBQ - self proclaimed worst BBQ in Texas, we disagree.

Shopping at TJ Maxx Home Goods. I may have converted them :)

Our new favorite store. All you San Diegans best be stoked,
you're getting one on Rosecrans!

The boys begged and begged to get a makeover at Sephora.

Getting comfy at Z Gallerie

It is so nice to have our socal buddies living so close. FYI in Texas, a 3 and ½ hour drive is close. Plans are in the works for a winter trip to New Orleans (8 hours from San Antonio, also close by TX standards.) Give me a heads up if you want to join us!
